Rocket容器引擎v1.26.0最新版發布了，Rocket容器引擎和Docker類似，幫助開發者打包應用和依賴包到可移植容器中，簡化搭環境等部署工作。Rocket和Docker不同的地方在於，Rocket沒有Docker那些為企業用戶提供的“友好功能”，比如雲服務加速工具、集群係統等。反過來說，Rocket想做的，是一個更純粹的業界標準。

軟件介紹

Rkt項目最初的發起者是CoreOS公司。CoreOS公司與其核心產品CoreOS操作係統是實至名歸的最早一批Docker企業級用戶，伴隨著Docker從最初的0.1版本一直走到正式發布的1.0版本。起初兩者相互促進，合作甚好。然而，隨著Docker在容器界一家獨大的趨勢越來越明顯，其周邊的生態逐漸的從單純的圍繞構建容器化應用服務，發展成了自上而下的集群規範體係，甚至部分取代了操作係統的服務進程調度工作。這種臃腫而受Docker單方麵控製的容器規範，是CoreOS係統所不待見的，他們想要一個更加開放而中立的容器標準。2014年12月，CoreOS公布了自己的容器計劃，並在幾個月後結合社區中的容器實踐，著手製定新的開放應用容器規範，Rkt則作為此規範中的一個具體實現而繼續發展。

CoreOS 把它的容器稱為 App Containers，裏麵包含 app container image、runtime、container-discovery 協議等。其中，App Container Image 和 Docker 裏的 Image 比較類似，包含應用必需的元素組成，如源代碼和二進製文件。Rocket runtime 則是依照 App Container 標準規格打造的，旨在將容器真正的變成一款命令行工具。
